2017 Membership Letter

Dear Red Hawk Member,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Red Hawk would like to thank you for your past patronage and we look forward to having you as a member in 2017. This past year has been especially challenging. We have dealt with cleaning up after last December’s tornado, two days of historic flash floods with 15 inches of rain, vandalism, diseases on the greens, and the unexpected departure of our superintendent. However, we have survived and we will grow from these experiences and be stronger in 2017. The golf year is not over yet and we may still have some good golfing days left. Please come out and support your club.

Once again, we would like to thank the Roger Seibert Tournament Committee especially Marsha Seibert, Amy Kellerman, Liz Hale, Judy Needham, Carol Voorhees, Kim Hayes, Maggie Adcock and Robert Hepburn. With the money raised this year, we would like to make some capital improvements. In the near future we will expand our cement construction of cart paths. We also plan on purchasing a piece of equipment that will help with our aging greens. We held a raffle for a new EZGO cart in conjunction with the Roger Seibert Tournament. Michelle’s relative won the raffle and kindly donated the cart back to Red Hawk. We then traded it for two used carts in good condition to add to our aging fleet. We would also like to thank the Campanella family for donating some much needed white rock. We are using it to repair the cart paths. Mr. Mark McDaniel has graciously agreed to take over the club championship. Please support him and have some fun with this great game! We are so pleased with the success of this year’s Men’s League and our mixed scrambles. We would like to thank Mike Leyba and friends for their leadership. Your involvement is what makes Red Hawk successful.

As always, we encourage all suggestions and ideas to make Red Hawk a better place. Our staff strives to make your visit to Red Hawk as pleasant as possible. Kevin, Erica, and the others will continue to treat us with delicious food from the kitchen and welcome you with their bright smiles. Our maintenance crew keeps focused on improving our course and we were blessed this year to have the help of Don “Shorty” Kellerman. He donated his time to keep this course well-manicured! Our priority for next year is to resolve the vacancy of the superintendent. We hope to find a new partner or supervisor as soon as possible.

In conclusion, Michelle and I would like to thank you for all your support. We love this course and want to grow old here, or maybe I should say older. With your help, we would like to focus on getting young families involved and creating a fun and inviting social atmosphere. We look forward to a new and exciting year in 2017!

Sincerely, Dan & Michelle Breslin
